Aging is a funny thing. Growing up, I wasn’t super into fashion and neither was my younger brother. More so, I was all about boys and mall hangs with friends, whereas my brother was a video gaming skater bro.
Fast forward 15 years.
There is one thing we can certainly agree on: street style. Grungy jeans, cool teddy coats, vintage inspired tees. Let’s not forget the sneaker.
When my brother and I realized we’d both be home with our family for Christmas, we thought it would be a fun idea to do a shoot together featuring our individual takes on street style.
My step-mom is a photographer, so much to my delight, she readily volunteered to venture out in Christmas Day to help execute this partnership. My dad volunteered to be the chauffeur, so there you have it – the gang was all together.
The outfits came together so organically. It really was perfect. Ripped black jeans, black shoes, black sunnies, a t-shirt and a light colored teddy jacket. A match made in street style heaven.
My brother, not having done much blogger shooting (read, no blogger shooting) was loving it. We honestly had such a great time on our family photo shoot. Taking turns shooting one another, playing around, being silly.
A Christmas Day family photo shoot is certainly not the norm for most, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. We all agreed that after an iFly session, a fam photo shoot and a trip to the theater to see La La Land, we had a pretty unforgettable Christmas.
I hope you all had just as wonderful of a Holiday with your family and loved ones.
